On Friday (Dec. 7, 2018), NF released his music video for “If You Want Love” from his most recent album, Perception. The project marked the rapper’s first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
The bittersweet music video starts off in a hospital, where a woman is giving birth. The story follows the loving couple as they raise the child, featuring sweet clips such as the toddler’s first steps, playtime, and eventually the grown-up teen going on her first date. Finally, we fly through her life and watch her get married as well.
Everything comes full-circle and the video ends in the same way it begins. NF explores the touching-yet-bittersweet cycle of life that we all know but somewhat fear.
