“Only Time” has been one of the most popular songs by the Irish musician Enya which was released in November 2000. This single was a lead to her fifth studio album (A Day Without Rain). The song was written by Enya herself alongside Ryan Roma and produced by Nicky Ryan under the Warner Music Group label. Only Time was remixed by the Swiss American Federation in 2001.
This song rose to topping music charts in Canada, Germany, Poland, United States, Austria and Switzerland. She donated the sales made from her single to the Uniform Firefighters Association’s Widows’ and Children’s Fund to help the firefighters’ families after the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center in the US. Sales of the album shot up when radio and television networks used the song in the aftermath coverage of the September 11 attacks.
