The University of Ghana, the premier university in the West African country, has taken drastic measures to protect the student populace from the spread of the novel coronavirus as one of its student tested positive to the virus. The said student is reported to have travelled to the US and returned to the country this March.
The school authorities started out by cancelling all large gatherings or events on campus, as well as suspending all Interim Assessments (IA) on Sunday.
The Vice Chancellor (VC) in a press statement today, advised all non-residential students to stay off campus until further notice, and encouraged residential students to keep calm and remain on campus for appropriate contact tracing.
