Tamale residents burn tyres and shoot guns in protest to the election results after Mahama’s speech [watch video]

It is no secret that Tamale, and the Northern region as a whole is one of the strongholds of the opposition NDC party.

And after the speech by John Mahama on Wednesday night on the position of the NDC with regards to the 2020 general elections, residents of Tamale took to the streets to burn tyres in solidarity to the former president and leader of the NDC.

Some even went as far as shooting guns and threatening to do worse if the Electoral Commission does not withdraw the results which shows Nana Addo and the NPP has won.

John Mahama in his speech stated categorically that the NDC rejects the fictionalized results of the 2020 general elections, but did not state or say emphatically what their next line of action would be.
