Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo (Sarkodie), affectionately called “King Sark” has finally received the plaque for Best International Flow award. The “Oofeetsɔ” hit-maker, and arguably the best rapper in Ghana and Africa at large, was adjudged as the Best International Flow at the 2019 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Hip Hop Awards.
The newly created Best International Flow category had Sarkodie (Ghana), Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada) as nominees, with Sarkodie beating them all and emerging as the winner.
As is customary of most award schemes, the plaque wasn’t presented to the rapper there and then, but the wait is finally over as Sarkodie had his “trophy” delivered to him today. The rapper made the announcement on Instagram via a video which captured him unveiling the plaque. As at now, King Sark is the only person with this award in the world. Ghana to the world!
