Ernesto Yeboah leader of the Economic Fighters League (EFL), an activism group in the late hours of Saturday was arrested by the Ghana Police for organizing an unauthorized vigil.
The purpose of vigil according to the young vibrant activist was to take a stand for George Floyd, themselves and all black people who have ever felt unsafe, because of where they were born or the color of their skin.
The vigil dubbed #AccraBlackOut seeked to make a strong statement at 7pm, at the Black Star Square.

Police on scene are trying to disperse protesters as they demand the release of Ernesto Yeboah, who is in police custody for leading a vigil in solidarity of George Floyd and the fight against racism and police brutality.
