Accra Markets To Be Closed Down on Monday 23rd March 2020 – A.M.A

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly wishes to inform the general public of the closure of all markets in Accra for disinfection. The rationale behind the closure is to enable the Assembly to disinfect all the markets and other public places. This forms part of precautionary measures by the Assembly to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
This directive is in line with the President’s measures to contain and prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The markets will be reopened the next day for normal business to resume.
The assembly entreat all traders and shoppers to comply with the directive to ensure the success and completion of the exercise.
